I'm not sure I understand the need for a .xxx web domain for sex-oriented web sites. I'd totally get it if they were abandoning their existing domains, but there's no way in hell they're going to do that. So what difference will it really make? Basically, it's just going to make domain registrars some more money selling the new domains (not to mention redirects to the existing sites), and maybe make a little bit of a news splash when it goes live. Also, any pervy sites with operators asleep at the switch will lose out when someone else snatches up their .com name in the .xxx domain. I don't really care either way, but I don't see the point.
