Where they have no say, is in the legality of that marriage, civilly. The religious objection to CIVIL marriage is where this whole argument makes no sense. I am Catholi...Sorry, but your argument is not good.<br />I am Catholic and they would not allow me to marry in the Church because I did not get annulment from my first marriage.<br />My dad also received the same treatment from the Catholic Church when he got married for the 2nd time.<br />While the Church didn't excommunicate us, we are prohibited from receiving communion and other sacraments.<br />So, the Catholic Church is consistent in their beliefs and their actions.
