Romney Rally: Ignorance on Parade

Have you ever heard the phrase, "I don't know whether to laugh or cry"? Well, it applies here. Except you will laugh, you'll want to cry, and may just go all fetal in the corner. As the Prez sez, don't boo, vote.
 

Thanks, Ohio. I'm embarrassed again of my home state. But you know, this is the same experience I have with so many conservatives. They can spout a few lines they've heard on FOX "News", but their depth of understanding is very, very shallow. Follow-up questions vex them. They often answer in contradictions, but don't see the contradictions. It's sad. And scary.

We sorta dodged a bullet with several of the more. . .um. . .out there candidates losing their campaigns on Tuesday. The biggie was Sharron Angle, who is no doubt turning lemons into lemonade as I type this. A lesser--but far more entertaining nut in the tea bagger fruitcake was Christine O'Donnell. She'll probably end up with a primo slot on FOX "News", instantly raising the average IQ there by a point or two.  But don't think we got the cream of the crop here. There's still plenty of goofiness in this new batch.

I wanted to put this under my "Stuck on Stupid" banner, but this is less stupidity than just plain ignorance I guess. Still, you'd think a person elevated to her position of White House Press Secretary would have some idea of what the Cuban Missile Crisis is all about. And given her reputation for obfuscation, you think she'd have dodged rather than admitted her ignorance.
