First Same-sex Marriage in California Ends in Death

Getting away from the Presidential election for a moment, there was sad news out of California today. One half of the first legal same-sex marriage in California, Del Martin, passed away. She had been with her partner for over half a century. It's nice that she was able to become legally married before she passed away, but profoundly unfair that she had to wait so long.

Lesbos vs. Lesbians: Will the "L" Word be Changed?

I wasn't honestly sure that the island of Lesbos--pronounced "lezz-boss," and not as I thought "lezz-boze," silly me--still existed. And who knew they were irritated about that whole L-Word thing?

My only response is, it's a good thing the city of Sodom has been smited. Smote? Whatever. . .

Side note: Whatever you do, don't go searching for an appropriate image for your blog piece on Lesbos, using Google image search with the SafeSearch off. Trust me.
