Tancredo’s Conspiracy Theory: Obama Hides His Birth Certificate To Stir Up The Right And Make Us Look Crazy

During a speech in 2008, Michelle Obama mentioned her husband’s famous trip to Kenya in 2006 and referred to it as his “home country,” most likely referring to the fact that he has immediate ancestral ties there. Video of the comment recently surfaced on YouTube, sending the far-right birther movement into a frenzy. . .

Tancredo Storms Off of The Ed Show

A lot of political pundits have made issue of the massive amount of pro-war "support-our-troops" Republicans who themselves have never served in the military. They're called "chickenhawks," and Tom Tancredo (R-Colorado) is one of them. So when they start talking about veteran's benefits and the VA, they might not expect to be called on it. By a veteran! I'm not sure I remembered that Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga ("Kos" of DailyKos) was a veteran. I'm pretty sure Tancredo didn't!

Tom Tancredo Pulls Out of Presidential Race

Photo from source, AP

I know, you're all like, "who?" Me too, at least when it comes down to specifics. I know his name, I know he's ultra-right wing. But frankly, I know more about (also out of the race) Brownback and (no one knew he was in the race) Alan Keyes. Better luck in 2012, Tom!

Tancredo's new campaign ad blames lax border for gang violence

Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo is airing another television ad with ominous warnings about immigration, this one saying that "vicious Central American gangs" in the U.S. are killing mothers, raping children and selling drugs.

The ad, which began running in Iowa on Tuesday, weaves images of tattooed Hispanic men and bloody bodies and blames "gutless politicians who refuse to defend our borders."

Politics of Fear: Tom Tancredo's New Ad

You'd think the "fear card" had been overplayed by Republicans by now. Does this stuff get to anybody any more? Something tells me this one is going to backfire on him. Of course, any publicity is good publicity as they say, and if anyone needs it, it's Tancredo. Who? Oh yeah, him. It's awful, but if you haven't seen it, here it is. Be afraid, be very afraid!
