She gets free room and free food.
That has to be worth at least $2000 a month in London. So any money she gets is almost pure profit.
She doesn't have to pay for health care in London.
The family probably pays her retirement along with paying her Social Security taxes.
The family has to pay unemployment compensation taxes in case she gets laid off when the kids turn 18.
She doesn't need transportation as she has her umbrella and magic.
She can take a second job as a chimney sweep or an illegal doctor curing uncontrollable laughing.
And, oh by the way, she works in England, why is concerned about American minimum law. There, the minimum wage for her is $10.71. Not bad for a nanny who flies into pictures, goes to horse races, drinks tea on the ceiling and gives an old lady tuppence to feed the birds.

ReplyDeletePS. The video works on my computers. . .which browser are you using? Internet Explorer sometimes won't play videos well, I've noticed that, even on my Windows 8.1 machine.
