Rush Limbaugh Compares Obama & Dems to Hitler

Eh. Should I really report on anything that Rush Limbaugh said or did? At this point, is there anything the man wouldn't stoop to? Well, this time it particularly stupid, because he's accusing President Obama and the Democrats of abusing propaganda. Does the man remember the George W. Bush years? Do the names Dick Cheney and Karl Rove ring a bell? Those people specialized in running an alternate reality machine, and in fact bragged about creating their own reality. Bush himself said that sometimes you have to "catapult the propaganda!"

But what Rush should really learn is, that once you've invoked Adolph Hitler and the Nazis, you've lost the argument.*

*An exception to the "Nazi = Fail" rule is when it is exceedingly clever, and loaded with dark humor. Think Springtime for Hitler from Mel Brooks' The Producers. Or, this scathingly funny song, actually "sung" by Mr. Limbaugh.

Blast From the Past: "I'm a Nazi/He's a Nazi" by Rush Limbaugh!

Oh, hello there! Ever get caught in a Wiki-hole? That's when you look something up on Wikipedia (or other site), and one thing leads to another, and you burn up a couple of hours. Happens to me all the time, but this time it happened to me on my own blog! Is it narcissistic to re-read posts from my past? I dunno. Anyway, one gem wasn't even my work, and it is as relevant today as ever. It's "I'm a Nazi (He's a Nazi)" and it is actually "sung" by Rush Limbaugh through the wizardry of audio editing. Godwin's Law be damned, this is a masterful--and hilarious--work. It co-stars Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly. Enjoy!

Blast from the Past: Rush Limbaugh's I'm a Nazi!

This came up in a comments section discussion (thanks, Dan). Years ago, a radio station put together an absolute genius edit of Rush Limbaugh quotes edited to music, called "I'm a Nazi" or "He's a Nazi" alternatively. It's a masterful job of editing, and a great tune to boot. Now, ordinarily, I'd say that using Nazis as an analogy is best avoided. Nobody is like a Nazi, right? Maybe not.

And maybe you're a person who finds little to no humor in anything Nazi-related. I can understand that, I really can. But don't forget, Mel Brooks--a Jewish person himself--came up with Springtime for Hitler in the movie (later Broadway musical) The Producers, in the late 60s.  That was a mere 20-odd years after the actual events of World War II. So there is clearly some grey area here.  Anyway, this particular video is a variant I've been looking for ever since I started this blog in 2007. Enjoy.

With Rush Limbaugh in the news again--which I'm sure quite delights him no end--it's time once again for the musical tribute, I'm a Nazi! (He's a Nazi!) Whatever you personally think of Limbaugh, you've got to be impressed with the crafstmanship of this song. The video is entertaining, but the song is a masterwork of editing, using Limbaugh's actual recorded voice to "sing" the song himself! Enjoy.

In the early days of my blog, I posted a link to this clip, so this post is sort of a rerun. But that's OK, because this is the type of clip you never get tired of. The creator of the video ingeniously compiled and assembled assorted clips of Rush Limbaugh's radio show in order to make him "sing."

Such an effort could easily have been a forgettable mess. But it's not, it's hilarious. As Homer Simpson would say, "It's funny 'cause it's true!" I've run a link to this song before, but it is more apropos right now than ever. If you've never seen the video for He's a Nazi (also known as I'm a Nazi), it features flash animation, and a song "sung" by Rush Limbaugh. Using actual audio clips from Limbaugh's show, the creator has created an ingenious anti-Rush rant.

If I must run a re-run, this is the time. And it may not be the last time!
