Mitt Romney's Short Bus Antics

The Etch-a-Sketch Express? Or The Short Bus?
Image from source.
Do you remember a few weeks ago, when it came to light that Mitt Romney once taunted a gay kid, then--with his posse--chased after the boy, and forcibly cut his hair? We were told that it was almost 50 years ago, he was just a (18-year-old) kid, and blah, blah, blah, we were being petty. Then, more recently, we found out that Romney also liked to drive around pretending to be a state trooper. In uniform. And actually pulling people over. Pfft! Just innocent pranks! He was just a kid!

Well, the weird kid has apparently not grown up all that much. I'm sure the tea baggers lap this stuff up, but do independents? Do disaffected Democrats? I'm thinking not so much.

Mitt Romney Packs Fudge

"Okay everyone, let me put on my glove, and pack some fudge!"
Is it wrong to say that Willard "Mitt" Romney is a fudge packer? Is it wrong to think that that particular double entendre is hilarious? Is it wrong that at (very nearly) 45 years old, this picture still cracks me up? Don't care. I'm laughing. Doesn't matter if it's appropriate.

Mittens is, apparently, running for president again. . .

Oh, My.

Burger King's Super Seven Incher.

Do you think they're trying to top (exuse the pun) Quizno's risque "put it in me" oven ads?

My Last Tea Bagging Post (I Think)

Have we wrung all of the humor out of the conservative "tea bagging" events? Probably. So, I'll try to make this my last one. But no promises. If I find something that really tickles my funny bone on the subject [Heh, heh! I said "bone!"], I will be here reporting it--ahem--balls out, if you will. . .

Anyway, this is from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

FOX "News" Promotes Tea Bagging

The vague protests the conservatives have planned for tomorrow have provided the left with nearly as much comedy material as Sarah Palin. The obvious double entendre of "tea bagging" has many of us in juvenile giggle fits. As a person who lets his inner child rule his sense of humor, this has been a lot of fun for me. One of my favorite bits was on The Stephanie Miller Show this morning, when Steph and the mooks were speculating on what future conservative protests might be called (example: illegal immigration=dirty sanchez).

But aside from all the low-brow comedy (and the fact that "tea bagging" has entered the general vernacular), it has provided one of the clearest examples of FOX "News" being in the tank for the Republican Party. They're not merely reporting on the tea parties, they're promoting them, even apparently hosting them. "Fair and Balanced" my immature ass.

Frivolity Break: America the Beautiful on the Kazoo. . .

This was sent to me by my friend and contributor, Stupid Monkey Planet. It's a frivolous little video, with no nudity, no foul language, and nothing "not safe for work (NSFW). So why, you might ask, is it posted "after the fold?"

Well, um, it just is. And if you want to see it, and are not easily offended, by all means, click the link after "CONTINUED." Otherwise, just scroll right on by. . .
