McCain-Loopner 2008!

Mom always tried to tell me, when opportunity knocks, answer the door. Strike when the iron is hot! Well, this is probably not one of those times, but I felt inspired while writing the last post, and thought it might be worth its own post.

After all, if it goes nowhere, who cares, right? But if people start to notice, I'd like to be there first. Sure, I might not be the only person to notice that Sarah Palin sounds and looks a lot like Mrs. Enid Loopner, played by Jane Curtin in Saturday Night Live's "Nerds" sketches. But I haven't seen it anywhere else yet.

It's probably just the four or five beers I drank, in the effort to make it through last night's Republican National Convention.

And now, the inspiration for this idea:

Sarah Palin's Accent: Who Does She Sound Like?

I can't decide. Is it Marge Gunderson from Fargo, Mrs. Enid Loopner from Saturday Night Live, or Principal Victoria from South Park? You decide!

Upon reflection, I can safely say, Sarah Palin is Mrs. Enid Loopner!  Forget Tina Fey (though I love her), bring Jane Curtin back to Saturday Night Live,  stat!!!
