There is a list of people out there who are largely reviled by the left. More than that, they are alleged by the right to be merely hated for their correctness, their courage, their rightness, not for any valid or legitimate reason. This list would of course include Sarah Palin, who has never done anything wrong, never made a significant error, is pure as the driven snow, and should become our next President.
Also high on that list, but not as popular as she once was, is "Dr." Laura Schlessinger. "Dr." Laura gets the quotes because though she is a doctor, but she's not that kind of doctor, though she seldom did anything to discourage the assumption. Anyway, she used to have a radio show, where fawning women would call her and say "I love you Dr. Laura, and I trust you, and I'll take your advice, whatever it is." Then, Dr. Laura would insult the woman, call her stupid, a "shack up honey," dismiss all of her actions as those of a dime store floozy, and leave the poor thing in tears. This despite the fact that Laura herself had a very checkered past herself, a relationship with her mother that ended in a shameful tragedy (seriously, look it up), and even nudie photos on the web!
It's because of the nudie photos that I wrote this post. Schlessinger was on the (very) lowbrow FOX "News" program, Hannity on Tuesday night. Simple Sean brought up Schlessinger's nekkid shots for some very strange reason, and she responded to his odd query by saying that they were real, except for any nude below the waist. Those, said Laura, were fakes. I'm calling bullshit. I've seen the photos. They're many and varied, and plain. They're not dolled up, they're not glamor shots. And they're not--at least not for the most part--PhotoShopped. Laura really has nothing to be ashamed of here, at least she wouldn't were she not a professional finger-wagger and prude. She wasn't hideous, and she's hardly alone. Naked shots on the internets will soon be fairly commonplace, I'd think. I betcha within two or three elections, we'll have a President with a known naked photo in circulation. But those twat shots are not fakes, Mrs. Schlessinger. I'm not posting links, they're too easy to find yourself. But you be the judge.
UPDATED: To add that I think the placement of the circle around Dr. Laura's face on the FOX video is hilarious. It highlights just her face, which looks remarkably like Zira from Planet of the Apes.
