Does Rick Perry Have "The Gay?"

Snappy dresser. Good looking. Kind of stupid. But gay? There've been rumors for a long time, but Rick Perry didn't trip my gaydar until he did the "Strong" ad, which was ironically both anti-gay, and featured Perry in a close copy of Heath Ledger's Brokeback Mountain coat!

All Your Rick Perry Gay Sex Rumors Collected in One Handy Book

Glen Maxey, the first openly gay member of the Texas State Legislature and longtime Democratic activist, spent most of last summer helping a reporter for a "national news outlet" nail down persistent rumors of Rick Perry's sexual relationships with men. Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Gay Rabbi

But I did think he was terrific in Brokeback Mountain, even if I did think the film was too long by about a third. He was completely believable in his character, even as a man nearly twice his age by the end of the film. And while he will be fondly remembered by millions for that role, it is unfortunately leading to some dreadful comments in right-wing world right now. I won't dignify their hideous comments with a link, just trust me on this one.

Heath Ledger was an actor with a seemingly bright future, which we will still get to view in part. The Dark Knight, the next Batman movie will be released soon, featuring Ledger as The Joker.
