Did Sarah Palin Get a Boob Job?

Well, her ego is already inflated, so why not?  It doesn't matter to me if she embiggened her boobage, though to be honest, I didn't think she could be a bigger boob. . .thank you, I'm here every night. Try the veal.

George Bush Romanticises War in Afghanistan

Our increasingly erratic President is now ticking off some of his biggest supporters: the military. It's very strange to use the word "romantic" in conjunction with war. This is not a Cary Grant/Ginger Rogers movie about war, it is actual war. Stranger still, The Decider inimates that were he younger and not otherwise employed, he'd like to be there on the front lines. Actual history strongly disputes that statement.

U.S. President George W. Bush got an earful on Thursday about problems and progress in Afghanistan where a war has dragged on for more than six years but been largely eclipsed by Iraq.

In a videoconference, Bush heard from U.S. military and civilian personnel about the challenges ranging from fighting local government and police corruption to persuading farmers to abandon a lucrative poppy drug trade for other crops. . .

Rape: It's Just Not Like it Used to Be

Political gaffes are a dime a dozen, but they come in many varieties. There are the malapropisms, or garbled syntax. Our President makes those daily. There are unintended double-meanings, and misunderstandings. But the ones that make your jaw drop are the ones that you're just sure the politician actually meant to say.

And this one, from Tennessee State Senator Doug Henry really takes the cake. Now, I'm not from Tennessee, and this is surely not my issue. But it's just so staggeringly bad, it warrants a little attention.

Rape: They just don't make it like they used to

“Rape, ladies and gentlemen, is not today what rape was. Rape, when I was learning these things, was the violation of a chaste woman, against her will, by some party not her spouse. Today it’s simply, ‘Let’s don’t go forward with this act.’ ”
