I'm preparing for the big wedding trip to California, so I really don't have a lot of time for the blog tonight. So rather than carpet bomb the site with political posts, I thought I'd give you a fun thing or two to watch. And, if you're new to the site, you might not know that means something fun and weird. . .

This was a music video by Mel Brooks to coincide with his early eighties movie, To Be or Not to Be. As far as I know, it does not appear in the movie. Take a little of the rap song he did for History of the World, Part I (It's Good to be the King), throw in a bit of Springtime for Hitler (from The Producers), and for some reason some porny looking Nazi men and women, and you get The Hitler Rap! Enjoy.

Comedy Break: Farting Preacher (Redux)

I scrolled through my list of recent posts, and while my writing did get to be drippingly sarcastic, it's just top-heavy with politics. I pondered, what makes me laugh? What would be a total departure for the blog, just to lighten the mood?

Then I remembered a post from months ago, a very juvenile, extremely tasteless, and hilarious video called "The Farting Preacher." I revisited that post, and as is often true with YouTube, the videos have vanished. But good news, fart-joke lovers! I found the single funniest clip of the bunch: Farting Preacher II: Fart Harder. So at the risk of alienating the highbrow set, I'm unleashing this toxic cloud on the blog! It's about a preacher, so it's vaguely newsworthy right?

Comedy Break: Kathleen Madigan on the Election

Kathleen Madigan is one of my favorite comediennes. I've seen her twice in concert, and she made me laugh so hard, I had tears in my eyes. Sadly, she doesn't get enough of the spotlight in my opinion, so I thought I'd shine my little pen light on her here. Warning: some NSFW language.
