FOX "News" Conservative Guest Debunks Chevy Volt Demonizing

I don't know, it looks nifty to me. Image from HybridCars.com
For reasons I cannot fathom, conservatives love to bash the Chevy Volt hybrid car. Though Chevrolet is an American company, and the Volt is an innovative vehicle, Rush Limbaugh, FOX "News" and thus all of right-wing world despise the car. So, how funny is it that a conservative guest on GOP-TV debunked all the crap they've been flinging at the Volt?

Fox News Debunks Right-Wing Lies About Chevy Volt: It’s ‘An Anti-Terrorist Weapon’ And ‘The Safest Car On The Road’

It’s one of the most remarkable interviews ever seen on Fox News. Yesterday, a conservative guest debunked all the destructive myths their pundits having been perpetuating, decrying their “fetish for demonizing the Volt.”

Conservatives, led by Fox News, have been pushing a variety of lies about the Chevy Volt. They’ve falsely asserted that it is unsafe and a creation of the Obama administration, using absurd terms to discourage sales like, “exploding Obamamobiles. . .”

Arizona Targeting "Human-Animal Hybrids"

Image from source, Politico

Are you kidding me? What the hell is going on in Arizona? I do not support man/bear/pigs or any other exotic combinations of people and the animal kingdom. But who does? Too weird for words, man.

The Arizona state Senate on Thursday passed a bill making it illegal for a person to “intentionally or knowingly creating a human-animal hybrid.”

Look, Ma! I Shouldn't Exist!: Hybrid Puppies

Photo of elk-brador and elk-bull puppies by author

And I don't mean they're good for the environment when I say "hybrid." I mean the original definition, the mixing of two gene pools, often pools that don't occur naturally.

People are apparently becoming more interested in "designer doggies," mixing poodles with golden retrievers, and the like. I think it's kind of weird, but there's no denying that some of these combos are very cute.

We once had two female dogs ("bitches" just seems rude), a pit bull terrier and a Labrador retriever; both of which made sweet love down by the fire with a Norwegian elk hound, who really got around. Most of the resultant elk-bull puppies died (their mother crushed them), but the Labrador took care of her elk-bradors, who were very cute but strangely repelled by and attracted to water. They wanted in sooo bad, but then got frightened when they got wet. Labby (that was really her name) took care of her own pups, as well as the elk-bulls.

Now, what I really want to see is a Labrador retriever crossed with a Chihuahua, which would undoubtedly be called a "Lab Rat."

Here's just a quickie post, before we begin entertaining guests for the evening. Who says hybrid cars are funky and boring? This one is very, very cool, and I just had to let you know. Check it out:

Fisker's $80K Plug-In Hybrid to Be Made in Detroit?

Fisker Automotive, flush with cash from one of the biggest names in venture capital, may build its $80,000 plug-in hybrid in Detroit and use lithium-ion batteries made in British Columbia.

Vic Doolan, the company's director of retail development, says Fisker is considering the Motor City because of its experienced workforce, idle manufacturing capacity and broad network of suppliers. "It does make a lot of sense" to build the Fisker Karma in Michigan, he told the Detroit Free Press. . .
