Ted Cruz Showboating Gives Lame Duck Dems a Christmas Gift

That unctuous, creepy, smarmy toad Ted Cruz shot himself and his party in their collective feet. Captain Ego kept the Senate in session for an ultimately pointless "point," and allowed the lame duck Democrats time enough to pass a bunch of appointments that would have gone unfilled! Good job, senator dumbass!

Rachel Maddow uses an excellent football story to take us to the glory that is Cruz's epic fumble. You still digging this guy, tea baggers?

Rick's Santorum Problem

Man-on-Dog Santorum, from HuffPo
Sometimes karma works. Rick Santorum, one of the smarmiest and ickiest of a list of once-powerful former Republican elected officials wants to run for President. This despite an embarrassing loss in his most recent election. But the political flavor of the month is extreme conservative, or it seems to be. But I'm thinking that Ricky isn't quite crazy/stupid enough to outshine Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, or several others in the cartoonish 2012 lineup. Oh, he's batshit. He's just not that batshit. And he's got this little problem. This little, hilarious, richly deserved problem. . .

Santorum Google Searches Spike After He Speaks Out About His 'Google Problem'

Earlier today, we brought you word that would-be presidential candidate Rick Santorum had been sharing his feelings about his "Google problem" -- that is to say, his name has become strongly associated on Google with "the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex. . ."

Dennis Kucinich Still Pushing Impeachment

Photo from source, Raw Story

I admire Dennis Kucinich for sticking up for principle over politics. His efforts to impeach President George W. Bush continue onward, though almost everyone believes it will not come to much. While his case is strong, the desire in Congress to pursue it is nonexistent. Which is a shame, to say the least.

Politically, Democrats in Congress might be right. If they all jumped on board, they might jeopardize their chances in the Senate, House and White House in the fall. It's a roll of the dice that might not be worth it in the long run. But there are a whole lot of Democratic voters who would be mightily impressed by the effort, that's for sure.

It's probably important that this is at least going on the record. Because I fear that nearly the entire administration is going to mostly get away with everything they've done. Since we have to rely on karma to take over, at least there will be a Congressional record of many of their abuses.

[Excerpt]

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who last night presented articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush to Congress, will tonight move that his impeachment resolution be referred to the House Judiciary Committee, per a press release from his office.

The thirty-five articles of impeachment that the Democratic lawmaker from Ohio painstakingly read last night for several hours to the House of Representatives will be read again tonight into the Congressional record by the Clerk of the House. . .

Karl Rove Punked with "Free Siegelman" Poster

There is no one more deserving of a public "Punk"ing than Karl Rove. And if he thinks Karma is through with him, I'd say she's only getting warmed up.

For more background on the Don Siegelman story (the subject of the poster), go here, here and here.

Ann Coulter Embarrassed at Supermarket

Image from source, Huffington Post

Oh, I don't care about the hows and whys. Any embarrassment for Ann Coulter is newsworthy in my book. It's about time she had to face such a thing, with her disdain for ordinary Americans (read: not rich Republicans). But, c'mon Karma, you can do better than this. And often!

Ann Coulter suffered a serious embarrassment over the weekend when her credit card was declined in Palm Beach. According to our spy, the nutty arch-conservative was caught at 9:45 p.m. Saturday night in the 10 Items or Less line at the local Publix when her card was rejected.
