Lizz Winstead and Sarah Silverman Discuss Mitt Romney
Much of it is about Mitt's "corporations are people," and such. All of it is funny.

Sarah Silverman on Voter Suppression (NSFW)
This video is Not Safe For Work, unless you have a very forgiving boss or a pair of headphones. But who cares, it's everyone's favorite vulgar comedienne, Sarah Silverman! And she's got a very important message: just about the only actual voter fraud going on is voter suppression, and it is a Republican-sponsored activity.

Sarah Silverman's Proposal to Sheldon Adelson (NSFW)

And then there was Newt. Adelson pretty much single-handedly kept Newt Gingrich in the Republican Primaries long past his expiration date. That's one guy (two if you count his wife) keeping a candidate in the race, through largesse. It's just odd. And now that Newton has bounced, Adelson is pumping money into supporting Mitt Romney. In this case, it isn't single-handed, but it could be. And it's all so puzzling. Before Obama was president, Adelson's holdings were hemorrhaging cash. In the last 3+ years, he's rebounded. Why does Obama scare him so? And should one guy have this much power?
Sarah Silverman has a proposition for Mr. Adelson. And being Sarah Silverman, she's not exactly ladylike about it. Or maybe she is, it depends upon your definition. But I will tell you that this us not safe for work. So, don't complain to me that it's dirty and tasteless. I just told you that.

Sarah Silverman: Sell the Vatican, Feed the World
I meant to post this video sooner, but when I checked (after it aired on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher), it wasn't yet available. Anyway, Sarah Silverman's political views are pretty close to mine, though I don't think anyone is her match for bravado and in-your-face confrontation. All with a terrific sense of humor and timing. Enjoy.

Bill Maher's New Rules, March 13, 2009
Bill Maher seems to be tweaking the format of Real Time, and I can't say it really worked for me. For the past two weeks, he's had only two people on his panel, and this week in particular the entire segment just seemed like an extended argument between the two. It got better when he dismissed the guests, and brought on Sarah Silverman, a favorite of mine.
Not that this will ever reach Mr. Maher, but as a long-time watcher, the regular format just works better. Especially when there is a celebrity like Jason Alexander, Gary Shandling or Ben Affleck along with the political guests. It offers an opportunity to see a different side to those we're used to seeing in other contexts. And a three-person panel gives much more diversity to the discussion.
That said, the New Rules segment remained intact, and it didn't disappoint.

Sarah Silverman: Get Your Grandparents to Vote Obama!
Since this is Sarah Silverman we're talking about, she means Jewish grandparents, but I think it applies to all of us. And since it's Sarah Silverman, it also has more than a few colorful words in it, so don't turn up your volume very high if you're at work. 'K?

Jimmy Kimmel F'ing Ben Affleck?
I feel a little out of the loop on this little pop-culture fact: talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is dating comedienne Sarah Silverman. Anyone who didn't know that probably knows by now, from this "birthday present" video Sarah made for Jimmy:
I'm F'ing Matt Damon! by Sarah Silverman
It was very funny, and of course while the naughty bits are bleeped, it's plain what she's talking about. Not to be outdone, Jimmy now has a response:
