  1. And I am sure Rachel Maddow believes in Anita Hill as well.
Supreme Court justices are not Gods, they do some things you would think are unethical but they are not.
But liberals/racists like Maddow hate Thomas is because he is black and conservative and they will do every thing possible to discredit the man. They have never given the man any credit since he was nominated for the court.
But if Maddow or any one else has a problem with Thomas, they can take it up with Harry Reid and have him impeached and thrown off the bench. Good luck with that one.
BTW, another reason, besides racism, Maddow and the left are doing this is that they are going to have him recuse him self from the Obama Care case that will hit the court this year or next.
Good luck with that one as well.

  2. I believe Anita Hill too. I don't think SC justices are gods, but they sorta are "kings" and "queens" of a sort, with no body to hold them accountable. "Liberals/racists" is a new one, and seeing Rachel called that is fairly uncalled for, I'd say. I don't know how you'd cull "hate" for his color or politics from the story she related. Did you watch it?

  3. Yes, I did watch it. It really isn't out of the ordinary for Justices. They take freebie cruises, teach 1 day at a uninversity and make thousands. What Thomas is doing is nothing new with justices and both liberal and conservartive do it.

  4. Three questions:
    - Is it par for the course for other justices to rule in cases that favor the gift givers, like Thomas apparently has?
    - If lower court judges are not allowed to behave this way, and Supreme Court justices are SUPPOSED to follow the same code of ethics (but not bound by law to do so) isn't this still bad behavior, regardless if others do it?
    - Would you have the same attitude if this was Sotomayor or Ginsburg?

The "everybody does it" excuse doesn't usually fly for us lay people.
