Lewis Black Blasts Rush Limbaugh on Robin Williams Suicide Comments
![]() |
| Image from source RawStory |
Comedian Lewis Black, a friend of Williams', didn't take Limbaugh's comments well. Who could? So he gave Rush both barrels (or middle fingers, more aptly) in a Facebook message. And he couldn't be more on the money.
[Excerpt]
Lewis Black blasts Limbaugh: ‘F*CK YOU’ for making light of Robin Williams’ death
“F*CK YOU Rush Limbaugh,” Black wrote on his Facebook page. “Your statements were beyond cruel and stupid. They were intolerable. Enough is enough from you. You are an idiot. Don’t you ever demean the death of another human being. He was my friend. You disgust me.”

Mitt Romney's "You Did Not Build That" Moment
![]() |
| Image found at Democratic Underground |
And that's what's been happening this week, the Willard Mitt Romney campaign (and the man himself) have been taking an Obama speech out of context, or to be charitable, hinging a whole campaign theme on a misplaced pronoun. It is very clear by the context of Obama's often given (and borrowed from Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren) that he was not saying that small business owneres "did not build that." He was talking about infrastructure and other benefits of living in America. Romney knew this, and so do all but the dimmest of his followers. But he's running with it anyway.
Now, I'm not going to vouch for every single pro-Obama ad. I can't swear that they're all 100% spin-free. But I'm pretty sure they're not laying on the BS with as heavy a coat as Romney. And if you watch the following (very funny) Lewis Black bit from Tuesday's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, you'll see the contrast between the two. Especially when you find out that Romney gave an extremely similar speech about "not doing it all yourself," from the 2002 Olympics. Oops.

Lewis Black: Don't Take "Retard" Away!
Lewis Black is finally Back in Black on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, this time giving some choice analysis of that f**king retard,* Sarah Palin.
* Once again, this term is said only in a satrical fashion, and is therefore immune from criticism, thus sayeth Palin.

Daily Show: Lewis Black on Anger in Politics
With all of the anger (vague, faux, misinformed and otherwise) in politics today, who better than Lewis Black to comment? It's brilliant really. I'm surprised it took this long. . .

Lewis is Back in Black
It doesn't matter what the subject is--in this case, the recession--if Lewis Black is doing a Back in Black segment on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, it's gonna be good.

Lewis Black's Root of All Evil
"Fun" posts have been in short supply on the blog lately, what with all the political news to report. So, I'm double-dipping into the Comedy Central vaults, for this clip from the new show, Lewis Black's Root of All Evil.
Lewis is one of my favorite comics, and his new show pits two comedians against each other, in a courtroom setting to determine which of their assigned topic is the root of all evil. Last night's match up was American Idol vs. High School. Tough to choose which one is more evil, isn't it? I really can't wait until next week when one of my other favorite comics, Kathleen Madigan will be a guest. Meanwhile, check out part of last night's show:

I'm up wayyy past my bedtime, watching Lewis Black on Comedy Central. Lewis is one of my favorite comedians, and he has a show debuting on Comedy Central tonight (be sure to check it out). I did a quick search on YouTube, and dug up this great Lewis Black bit. Check it out too, won't you?

Lewis Black on Water
It's time to get away from the politics and the caucusing and the serious stuff. It's time for some frivolity and comedy.
My friend (and sometimes inspiration) Lesto is not a fan of the comedy. He particularly dislikes comedic movies and television, but doesn't have much use for stand-up comedy either. And that's a shame, because Lesto has a doppelganger in the stand-up comedy. And his name is Lewis Black.
Lewis Black often shares his comedy brilliance on The Daily Show with John Stewart, but is most in his element when he doesn't have censorship to worry about. If you have not experienced Lewis in this environment, take a look at this video. And Lesto, I'm talking to you. . .watch this clip, and see what your next career just might entail. . .
WARNING: Profanities ahead. If you have a delicate constitution (or no sense of humor), you will be offended. You've been warned.

Daily Show: Lewis Black on Limbaugh & MoveOn.org
Leave it to Lewis Black of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to wrap up the Rush Limbaugh "phony soldiers" and the MoveOn.org "Betray Us" stories in a sack, and dump them on the curb. He says it best, and there really isn't anything more to add. Excellent work, Lewis!

Lewis Black - Today's Hero
I don't think anyone sums up my personal feelings about politics any better than the Daily Show's Lewis Black. And he reminds me of Greenlee Gazette contributor Lesto (if he were fully converted to my way of thinking). Check out this video from Comedy Central.
