Michele Bachmann Steals Show at GOP Debate to Announce Presidential Run
Rep. Michele Bachmann used the opening seconds of tonight’s first Republican debate to make news: She’s officially seeking the GOP presidential nomination.
The Minnesota congresswoman was invited to the debate as an undeclared candidate, despite ample evidence that she was planning a White House bid, and she used the first question posed to her to announce she had officially filed to run. . .

Let's see. Bachman has been a foster parent for 2 childern plus being a parent for 5 more kids. I don't think that is crazy.
ReplyDeleteShe used to be an attorney for the IRS, which is certainly better than being a community organizer.
She was also a Democrat before she saw the light.
Maybe that is why liberals fear her and Palin- they have real life experiences. Palin has Trig.
So it is possible that the reason why liberals are afraid of Bachman and Palin is that they have real life experiences. Palin has a child with Down Syndrome. Obama has made fun of Special Olympians. Bachman has raised 5 kids and fostered 23 other kids and worked hard all of her life. Obama has had almost everything handed to him on a silver platter and it shows he has no real life experiences.
So, I would take a Bachman or Palin over Obama any time because of their real life experiences.
By your logic, Dan, Angelina Jolie and Mia Farrow have more qualifications to be President than anyone running. Liberals don't fear Bachmann. She regularly makes statements that are factually bogus (to an extreme and humorous degree). Nothing would make liberals happier than to see her get the Republican nomination, but she doesn't have a snowball's chance in Las Vegas. She might win Iowa, but she won't even win her own state's primary (Pawlenty will take that).
ReplyDeleteBachmann shares that problem, Jill, with everyone else on the stage. All of them, apparently, would lose their home states. Not a ringing endorsement for any of them.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that raising 23 kids is normal for a non-Mormon, but whatta I know, I'm not a parent. But I agree with Jill, nobody's scared of Plain or Bachmann. . .they're a comedy gold mine. The only "fear" I'll cop to is that America could possibly be stupid enough to elevate either of them to the top spot. And truly, it's more embarrassment than fear.
