If China stopped buying or called in their loans from the U.S., it will be a horrible day in the U.S.. It will be worse than a loan shark calling in his loan from a poor slob in downtown Detroit.

How do you like Chinese food?
The article states that the Chinese hold 9.5% of our debt. Yes, it would be a bad day (thus the need to raise the debt limit), but they wouldn't own us "lock, stock and barrel." That's a huge exaggeration. But still not as big of an exaggeration as this video. The video plays to xenophobia, and just plain old fear.
