Fat-burning Pepsi Cola?

I just have one question: does it come in diet? Heh. Anyway, I drink copious amounts of diet sodas by each major maker, Coca-Cola, Pepsico and Doctor Pepper/Seven Up. I've mainlined every known artificial sweetner, and in quantities that have been known to kill, or seriously mess up laboratory rats. What damage could "Pepsi Special" do that hasn't been already done? I'm in!

ALEC is Losing Major Members (Pepsi, Coke, Kraft)

Have you noticed the spate of similar draconian laws enacted all across the country on a variety of subjects? "Stand your ground?" "Voter I.D.?" "Collective bargaining" removal? Doesn't it seem weird that a dozen or more states would have the same idea at the same time? That a whole bunch of newly strongly Republican states would enact very, very similar laws? While people like me warned of GOP overreach should they win in 2010, I really had no idea that there really was a vast, right-wing conspiracy!

ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) is kinda sorta the definition of fascism. The union of government and corporations. Not exactly of course. ALEC has no legislative weight. But they're enormously influential. It works like this: Business writes laws, hands them to governors or legislative bodies, and the laws are enacted by (at least right now) hugely skewed state governments, overreaching from their 2010 victories. It was kind of a perfect storm.

The hardcore right--the FReepers--can square ALEC into their "small government/free market" world view. They'd lap up whatever Rush Limbaugh and FOX "News" fed them, with no quarrel and not a second thought. But the less hardcore, the less partisan among us would likely be appalled if they knew the scale of ALEC's influence. Thankfully, people are starting to catch on. Big people ("Corporations are people, my friend!" --Mitt Romney) like Pepsico, Coca-Cola and Kraft Foods. Uh oh.

Pepsi Donates $500K to PFLAG

I saw this item, and thought, "How long until the American Family Association, and all those other 'family' groups boycott PepsiCo?" I mean, lots of people maintain that they prefer Coke to Pepsi. Diet Coke to Diet Pepsi. Mello Yello to Mountain Dew. Sprite to Sierra Mist. I've never understood the distinction myself (I buy whatever is on sale), but some people are loyal Coke buyers, and refuse Pepsi products anyway.

Then I remembered, Pepsi owns FritoLay. Frito-frickin'-Lay! Go ahead, 'phobes, boycott Doritos, Fritos, Lays, Cheetos, Tostitos, Sun Chips. . .just try! Something tells me, the target audience for a boycott is the very group that couldn't make it through a weekend without the tasty, salty snacks of FritoLay. And don't forget that Pepsi also has a stake in Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC. Yeah, I think a boycott would be an epic fail. A hearty Neslson Muntz Ha-ha! to you!

Stupid Monkeys & H2O

Posted by Stupid Monkey Planet

Aquafina (a product of PepsiCo) to reveal it's ingredients... TAP WATER. Rich ain't it.

Never fear, Coke will be next. Will it be Dasani? Nestle Springs? Oh gosh, it's just so intriguing...

And these guys thought the cocaine upset people... now they've just offended Biff & Buffy Monkey & their upturned nostril drinking style...

Pepsi & Coke I can't help but applaud your efforts in taking advantage of these Stupid Monkeys riddling the planet. Sell 'em tap water for 1500% more than they would pay at home. After all, you've made it more convenient for them now. They no longer have to go thru the trouble of walking to the kitchen, retrieving a glass from the cupboard & filling up said glass with fine municipal tap water, from their own kitchen sink mind you. Now it is a simple as grabbing a couple of dollars, hopping in your SUV & taking a trek up to the closest convenience store (again with the convenience), and look there it is... and it is cold! Hallelujah! Thanks!
Stupid Fuhkeeng Monkeys...

CBS has the story... We serve only the finest in tap water...
