Keith Olbermann's Glee Over Bill O'Reilly's Marital Woes

This is from Wednesday's Countdown With Keith Olbermann, a show I sadly still can't get, because I don't get Current TV on Las Vegas Cox Cable. It's from his Worst Persons in the World segment, which included Christine O'Donnell and her abysmally selling book. But the highlight was the winner, Bill O'Reilly. Which might even be linked to the Rupert Murdoch problems.

Countdown with Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the World" Returns!

I still don't get Current TV, but I'll gladly pop over to their web site for some clips! No surprise in the choices. But (grrrrrr) we only get the bronze and the silver! (By the way, Current TV's tech guys need to fix the glitch in their player. It will only "autoplay" no matter what I try. So the video clip can be accessed at the link at the bottom of the post).

Keith Olbermann's Worst Person in the World: President Obama?

I like Keith Olbermann, and am glad he's plugging away while he's off the air. I'm even open to criticizing the President when he's wrong--particularly on the issue of caving to Republicans needlessly, and not discontinuing dubious Bush Era policies--but did he go too far here? Possibly. Honestly, there have been some family issues this evening, and I haven't yet had time to watch it. I may be back with an addendum after I have time to view it. Meantime, enjoy.

Olbermann's Worst Persons in the World, Bill O'Reilly and the Tides

Included because a) I haven't posted a Countdown with Keith Olbermann clip in a while, b) I don't cover religion vs. non-believer stories often enough and c) because I delight in showing FOX "News" hosts being complete fools. And no doubt, Bill O'Reilly is an idiot if he thinks we don't understand what causes tides.

George W. Bush Joins Facebook

Image from source, Wonkette

Wow, way to ride a cultural wave, Mr. Former Presidentin' dude.  Oh, I know, that's not fair. I was a late adopter too, and still haven't quite figured out what to do with Twitter. But if the Queen of Facebook, Sarah Palin is any indication, Dubya's page should be a treasure trove of Bushisms, and is sure to get him on Countdown with Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the World" list at least once a week.

And yeah, I added him to my friends or fans, or whatever, and I don't appreciate the message that says, "James L. Greenlee likes George W. Bush." At all.

George W. Bush Is President Of Facebook

Hooray, FREEDOM has reached Facebook.com during this terrible time, when it’s such a failed cultural phenomenon to Quit Facebook, which is just a website on the Internet. . .

Keith Olbermann to Glenn Beck: "Go to Hell"

You know, Glenn Beck's usage of September 11th as a political tool is reprehensible, but it is also hardly novel. He has, after all, based his whole movement around it, looking to capitalize on 9/11 with his "9/12" movement. I wonder what Mr. Beck would have to do or say to turn off his legion of drooling idiots. . .

From the November 3, 2009 episode of Countdown with Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the World."

Worst Person in the World Threefer!

Please excuse the double Countdown with Keith Olbermann post, but this collection of Worst Persons in the World is particularly tasty. First up is the loathsome (and dim) Sean Hannity. The manatee is followed by far-right celebrity (don't they hate celebrities?) Chuck Norris, who is promoting the idea of desecrating the American Flag. But the winner--by a well-spring of stupid--is Glenn Beck who is unwittingly promoting slavery.

Sean Hannity, Worst Person in the World!

I usually try to put a little space between posts on the same subject, but when the material is this good, I can't help it. You've got to check out Countdown with Keith Olbermann's "Worst Person in the World" segment to see some of the best evidence of a FOX "News" lie ever. What, you say Olbermann and I should give Sean Hannity the benefit of the doubt? When has Hannity ever done that for anyone else? I mean, of course, if that person is a Democrat. He'll make excuses up the yin-yang for a Republican. . .

Olbermann's Worst Persons: Palin, Limbaugh and Hannity

I usually try to avoid running two posts from the same source in the same day. But tonight's Worst Persons in the World feature on Countdown with Keith Olbermann was too good to ignore. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin would surely rank in the top 10 of my "enemies list"--possibly top 5--so seeing all three in one big, national put-down had to go on the blog!

Worst Persons in the World: FOX "News" Trifecta!

Some critics (and even fans) of Countdown with Keith Olbermann are weary of Keith's attacks on FOX "News" in general, and on Bill O'Reilly in specific. I am not one of those people. I love it. I love doing it here on the blog. And I love watching it on Keith's show.

There is no more deserving target. And the bullseye is huge! Who can resist that?

Olbermann's Worsts: O'Reilly's "War on Christmas"

Would it surprise you to find out that Bill O'Reilly's "War on Christmas" has its origins in xenophobia and white supremacy? Eh, probably not. Equally unsurprising, it landed him (once again) the top spot in Countdown with Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the World."

Sean Hannity Says FOX Viewers More Informed. . .Sorta

Sean Hannity annoys the hell out of me. He's a right-wing Chatty Kathy doll, pull his string, and he spews an endless supply of talking points. He does have a savant-like ability to rattle them off in any conversation, regardless of whether or not they fit the topic. And he's parlayed his "talent" into multi-million dollar contracts. Not bad for a college drop-out.

So, while his mama might be proud of him, for all of the above reasons--and many others--he just irritates me beyond belief. So it's great when his "talent" gets him into trouble. Well, "trouble" would be exaggerating it a bit, since his viewers won't ever notice he made a huge gaffe.

He attempted to say that FOX "News" viewers and right-wing talk radio listeners are more informed than the rest of the public. But he got a case of Palin-itis, and turned his sentence into word salad. This made his statement into exactly the opposite of what he intended. The funny part of that is, he actually told the truth! By accident of course.

[Excerpt]

Hannity: ‘If You Don’t Listen To Talk Radio, If You Don’t Watch Fox News,’ You’re Misinformed

HANNITY: If you don’t listen to talk radio, if you don’t watch the FOX News Channel, you’re not anywhere nearly as informed as people that are just hearing the bumper stickers, the slogans, the snippets of the commercials of the media. So, journalism died in 2008, and it influenced a lot of people on the way out. . .

Countdown with Keith Olbermann's Worst Persons in the World

Last night's episode of MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann had a particularly good list of Worst Persons in the World. In case you missed it. . .

Keith Olbermann's Worst Persons in the World 5/02

Countdown with Keith Olbermann's "Worst Persons in the World" segment has got to be one of the easiest to write. As with Democratic Underground's "Top 10 Conservative Idiots" column (highlighted here every Monday), there is quite simply never a shortage.

Here's tonight's batch, Bill O'Reilly (slamming Al Franken), Ben Stein (a man I used to think was smart--how wrong I was) and Ann Coulter (Coultergeist). It's funny, and sad, and worth a look.

Olbermann's Worst Person in the World

I'm double-dipping into the Countdown with Keith Olbermann videos, for a particularly good segment of Worst Persons in the World! Plus, I'm digging this new MSNBC video interface. It's about time the did that, so that people don't have to rip it to YouTube.

Bill O'Reilly: Worst Person in the World!

Bill O'Reilly doesn't really need any help to look like a fool, but MSNBC's Keith Olbermann takes special delight in helping him out. I'll likely post something more in depth soon about Olbermann, and surely about O'Reilly, but for now, take a look at this video from Thursday.

It's from a regular segment, "Worst Person in the World" on Countdown With Keith Olbermann, toward the end of the program, with the lighter fare of the day. He counts down the "worse," "worser" and "worst." Sometimes it's serious, sometimes it's funny. This is funny.
