I'm double-dipping into the Media Matters stuff for this
must-read article showing exactly how a right-wing phony outrage story goes from a germ of an idea to a full-blown news story (and very often to a quietly ignored debunking later on). It's good stuff, and you probably have noticed parts of it in play. We've been faced with this stuff for so long, it is really depressing that the mainstream media hasn't paid attention to what FOX is doing. At least, after reading this,
