Here at Last: Verizon iPhone Announcement on Tuesday?

It's pretty funny how this "secret" keeps getting dribbled out. It's going to happen at some point--Tuesday, so this article says--so what's with all the coyness? C'mon, just release the thing already. There is no amount of tease, no amount of carrot dangling that is going to make the groundswell of customer readiness bigger. It's big. Toying with us is gonna bite Apple and Verizon in the butt if they don't just come out with it already!

Verizon iPhone will be announced Tuesday: report

The news many consumers have been waiting for — that Verizon Wireless would finally carry Apple's iPhone — will be announced Tuesday, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. . .

"The largest U.S. wireless carrier will make the long-awaited announcement at an event Tuesday in New York City, a person familiar with the matter said Friday," the Journal reported, although there was no word on when the iPhone would be available for sale.
