There's been a lot of buzz about ACORN, the community group that helps people register to vote. I understand that some of the people they hired acted badly. They signed up people who didn't exist or weren't eligible. But the way they're being demonized by mostly FOX "News" and right-wing talk radio immediately made my "Spidey Sense" tingle.
When the people making the most fuss about something are the members of that rogues' gallery, you can bet there's more to the story than what they're touting. And whattayaknow, I was right. Check it out.

It's worth taking a moment to step back from the slew of charges leveled over the last week at ACORN, the community-organizing group that Republicans and the McCain campaign have been trying to turn into a bogeyman for fears about vote fraud (and, of course, tie to Barack Obama).
