Jon Stewart & Jerry Seinfeld on Michele & Marcus Bachmann's Little Gay Problem
Genius. Hysterical. "Center square gay." Hahahahaha! If right-wing world really thinks this is some lame-stream media attack on poor, poor Michele, they have no gaydar whatsoever.
I think it's a mistake to assume that right-wingers are without gaydar on the subject of Marcus Bachmann. Evangelicals love redemption narratives. The fact that Bachmann fits so many gay stereotypes just reinforces their belief that one can pray the gay away. As long as he isn't caught lingering in the men's room at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, or hiring a rentboy to lift his luggage, he's their poster child.
On another subject, it's a shame that Juan Epstein ended up delivering Chinese food to Don Rickles. I guess Mr. Kotter wasn't able to help him graduate from James Buchanan High School.
Oh, so they think he's cured of his "affliction," but he retains the outward signs. Interesting. I've always wondered how a "the gay is a choice" people explained Charles Nelson Reilly and Paul Lynde and Rip Taylor. Clearer cases of "born this way" were never presented. So, they think the "fabulousness" is inborn, but the sex is a choice? Interesting.
And Jill, between your luggage lifting and obscure Welcome Back Kotter knowledge, I think you've got a fabulous sense of humor! There's got to be a way to tie it together with "up your nose with a rubber hose. . ."
