Lowden was running for Harry Reid's Senate seat, and was leading until she went on television and suggested that people barter chickens for health care. She was immediately dubbed the Chicken Lady, or at least had "chicken-for-checkups" appended to her name. No matter, she's back. And not only that, she's running against Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval's preferred choice. Way to go, girl!
