We hear about shootings seemingly every other week or so, but usually they aren't in your home town. Or within just a few miles of your office. But here we are, a shooting at Bally's Hotel & Casino. Not good for tourism, hopefully it will be regarded as a fluke. Oddly enough, there was a shooting death just outside Bally's not so long ago, with the result ending in a fiery, deadly taxi crash. Odder still, there was a school shooting in Sparks, Nevada the same day. Clearly, we don't have enough guns. Or something.

Talk about politicalizing it...
ReplyDeleteI was reading the LVRJ comments on the story and it was common to see that people blamed a black guy for the shooting and assumed it was a white who was the hero. While it hasn't come out, except on Channel 13, the hero was a black man and the thug shooter was a white guy.
My point is that he said it shouldn't be politicized while simultaneously saying something political. Kind of Like Sarah Palin saying that the left shouldn't use veterans as a political prop while she was doing it herself.
