Rachel Maddow on the Likelihood of an Afghanistan "Victory"

Last night The Other Half wanted to go on a walk--in 114-degree Las Vegas heat--so, I missed this excellent editorial on The Rachel Maddow Show. If you ever see "Rachel Re:" on the screen, you know you are in for some big-brain opinion stuff. You may not be in agreement, but you'll believe that Rachel believes it, and will present a good argument.

She spent a good amount of time in Afghanistan last week, and broadcast live from there for a couple of days. Her reporting has garnered positive reviews, even from some on the right. And for the first time in nearly ten years, I feel like I finally have a grasp on what the Afghan War is really all about. Unfortunately, our mission--though finally clear--is not an easy (or possibly even likely) victory.

This is lengthy, and more informational and educational than it is entertaining. But if you are wondering "what the heck are we doing there," and what it all means, here is a good place to start.

  1. Though the cozy ugg classic mini boots are hotter than ever, and look around, it is not hard to find that there are large quantities of people walking on ugg mini boots . On thing that we still should keep in mind is that the mix of ugg mini soft shank and sheepskin interior means that ugg boots are designed for casual, short term use, and not for situations which require sturdy, protective footwear, as the ugg design stress is on style and comfort instead of shielding the feet. Cleaning uggs should never be applied without delay to the sheepskin, as this may cause long-standing damage.
