Sam Seder: "Mosque at Ground Zero?" That's Bullsh*t!

Sam Seder attacks this faux outrage from exactly the same angle I would have thought. It's a ginned up story to stoke white rage, pure and simple. The logic--such as it is--doesn't have to hold together, it doesn't have to be an actual problem, it just has to have enough "truthiness" to seem wrong.

  1. Supposedly, there will be a gay nightclub next to the mosque. I guess we will see who is tolerant or not.
Strange you are defending muslims considering their view on homosexuality.

  2. I'm not exactly defending muslims, Dan. I think ALL religions are superstition. But it's strange to me that for all the chest beating about the Constitution, we're ready to throw it out when it pertains to Muslims. I can't figure out how you get around the first amendment. And I don't understand why they keep saying this is "at ground zero" when you can see in Sam Seder's video that it ISN'T.

The gay bar idea was snarky fun by a FOX "News" host, and it probably won't happen. There's a law restricting bars near houses of worship in New York. . .unless they decide that Islam isn't worthy again, somehow.

AGAIN: I don't believe in any religion, and have no dog in this fight. It just seems like Muslims are the latest "evil other" in a long chain of us vs. them being fought mostly from the right.
