Jon Stewart Calls FOX "News" Out on Nazi Hypocrisy

I meant to post this earlier, and forgot about it. It's from Monday night's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. It opens with a funny mention of Keith Olbermann's departure from MSNBC (odd how the reaction to that has been less hysterical than his suspension in November, eh?), and goes into FOX "News" and their hypocritical reaction to a politician using Nazi imagery. It's very well done. Enjoy.

  1. If Jon Stewart is comparing conservatives to NAZIs, then he doesn't understand history. NAZI's were socialists- not exactly conservative.
But to compare anybody to NAZI's is plain wrong and just looking for attention. Nobody from the Dem's or the GOP are close to being NAZI's.

  2. No, no. . .the word "socialist" was in the name, but the definition was vastly different. And I don't think he was saying that.

Rachel Maddow recently said something like: "Nothing is like Nazi Germany. Nothing." No matter how apt a comparison might be, it would be wise to avoid the comparison.

THAT said, I happen to ADORE the Rush Limbaugh song, "I'm a Nazi/He's a Nazi", but as much for the artistry and craftsmanship that went into the song as the humor.
