Whenever I see a picture like that, the first thing that pops into my mind is the dreaded surveyor's symbol. Like most people, I live in constant fear that someday I'll wake up to find out a surveyor has illegally surveyed away part of my property.
Yeah. It's sad that Sarah Palin's spokesperson felt the need for revisionist history on the "crosshairs=catrographer's marks". It's depolorable that the right-wing punditry echoed that as though it was likely. And it's sad that the right-wing blogosphere and readership continues to pretend/believe that it's true.
I saw one FReeper who said it COULDN'T be the crosshairs in a scope, because the lines went outside the circle! Which is why I posted this "Human Target" graphic.
