If John Aravosis' analysis is correct--and it often is--this may be a torturous, nasty ride after all. As though we didn't get enough of that for the last couple of years. Ugh. Will Republicans actually threaten to shut down government when unemployment is so high? When the economy is so fragile? When we're in two wars? Oh come on, what do you think? Being a nation at war is only usable as a political argument when Republicans are in power. When they're not, politics trumps everything. Even "our troops" and the world economy.
