Sarah Palin's Favorite Founding Father: "All of Them"

As I've said previously, I'd expected Sarah Palin to land at FOX "News" for quite some time. I'm frankly surprised it took this long. It's hard to say how long this arrangement will last, whether she'll implant her foot so deeply into her mouth that even FOX gets embarrassed, or if her notorious inability to finish a job makes her quit for the good of Alaska.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews said recently, (paraphrasing) "How can she be a pundit? She doesn't know anything!" Indeed. And so far--as with every earlier appearance on FOX "News", Palin has been treated reverently, with mostly kid gloves. Even so, her weaknesses as a pundit are very apparent. Her infamous "word salad" approach to the English language is strongly in evidence, as is her "pageant answer." Asked by Glenn Beck to name her favorite founding father, she meanders all over the place, first answering "all of them." When Glenn Beck retorts, "bull crap!" and presses her for more, she throws everything into her response to make it sound like she knows what she's talking about.

I'm no pundit, and I'm no politician. I don't know that if asked the same question that my sentence structure would be 100%. But the second I heard the question, I thought, "Thomas Jefferson, because he was so far ahead of his time. He was an inventor, a draftsman, an architect, and wrote his own version of the Bible. Or Ben Franklin, for his contributions to science and journalism." Right off the top of my head.

Palin has no business as a political consultant or "analyst" as FOX is calling her. She's a clueless boob. I just wonder if any of her followers or FOX's viewers (largely one and the same) will ever catch on. When even Glenn Beck calls her on her "bull crap" I'm slightly hopeful.

[Excerpt]

Palin says her favorite founding father is ‘all of them.’

Yesterday Fox News’ Glenn Beck interviewed newly minted Fox “analyst” Sarah Palin for his entire show. During the interview, Beck asked Palin who her favorite Founding Father is. “You know, well, all of them because they came collectively together with…so much diversity in terms of belief but collectively they came together to form this union.” “Bullcrap,” Beck retorted. “Who’s your favorite?” Palin then finally settled on George Washington because he “returned power to the people” and then “went back to Mount Vernon” to farm.” Beck agreed. . .
