Bush: "I Never Said The Taliban Was Eliminated"

Daily now, new stories prove that the alternate reality machine is cranking up in the Bush Administration. The "Bush Legacy Project" rolls on, and this one is a doozy. For some reason, George W. Bush still seems to think that he can simply declare something, and it will retroactively change history. Does it matter that video and transcripts prove him wrong?

Bush Rewrites History: ‘I Never Said The Taliban Was Eliminated’

Early this morning, during a press conference in Kabul with Afghan President Karzai, President Bush attempted to paper over his previous declarations of victory over the now-resurgent Taliban. Bush claimed emphatically, “I never said the Taliban was eliminated. . .”
