No, I don't believe it either. Two of the leading conservative voices in America (and how simultaneously scary and unbelievable is that?) are holding a for-money political event on September 11th, and the timing is merely coincidental? Pfft. Listen, I'm not one to try and assign some forever-more day of reverence to one of the worst days in our history. But these folks claim to. They're cashing in on the anniversary, while they'd surely lambaste any liberal who'd ever attempt to do the same thing. So you've got hypocrisy here, and you've got political double-talk (lying). And you know what? Their followers won't care, and their popularity will not suffer. Amazing.

Palin-Beck 9/11 Profiteering Event Promotor Says Rally Date Is Just A Coincidence
Prominent conservatives and right-wing groups are making plans to use the 9/11 anniversary this weekend to rake in some cash. Among them are Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck, who are teaming up for a rally in Anchorage, AK. The right-wing duo are charging attendees between $74 and $225 to hear them speak. The Hill reported, “There was no indication as to whom or what the proceeds will go.” And, the AP reports that promoters for the Palin/Beck rally seem to want to downplay this perceived 9/11 profiteering. . .

Someone has given you bad information. Beck will donate his speakers fee to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and Palin is not being paid a fee for her appearance:

Sure, sure. That's nice spin, but there's no way to know if it's true or not. Also, it isn't the main thrust of the story. THAT is, they're claiming the timing of this event is COINCIDENTAL. They're doing it for self-promotion purposes, whether or not they're pocketing proceeds THAT DAY.
