Iowa Gay Marriages Strikingly Similar to Opposite Marriage

Yes another story about "the gay." This one is inspired by a Facebook friend from Iowa, who happens to be a preacher and is against same-sex marriage.  He's so against it, he has turned his profile picture into an ad for the movement to get the judges responsible for marriage equality there removed.  So much for me being a positive outlook on his position.

Anyway, I thought I'd look to see what sort of terrible calamity has befallen Iowa since same-sex marriages became legal there.  Whoops. Looks like it's pretty much business-as-usual there.  Same-sex marriages are pretty much exactly the same as "opposite marriage" as Carrie Prejean put it.  Which is what we've been saying all along.  Still, it's become a toxic political issue, and the stage is being set for Iowa to become the second state to try to take away marriage equality rights that have already been granted.  Which is a) un-American, b) not very nice and c) un-Constitutional as proven by the Prop. 8 case in California this summer.

  1. I didn't even know Iowa had gay marriage. Kind of explains those floods this summer. Just kidding.
But the vast majority of marriages seem to come from out of state and so, not a lot of Iowans are going for it.
But Iowa politics is a lot more liberal than most people realize. How elese do you explain Tom Harkin.
