Rachel Maddow: Oil Spill Containment & Clean Up Pathetic

Most of us have watched with revulsion the sight of the growing oil catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico.  The very thought that it is still spewing untold gallons and barrels of oil and gas right this minute--now 50 days later--is hard to even fit in your brain. And of course, the primary concern is to get the damned thing plugged.  I'm not sure that is actually BP's number one issue though. I suspect that they may have more of an eye on capturing as much of it as they can to sell. But suppositions and speculation aren't really all that important.  The facts are.

And the fact is, it looks like the efforts at containing the spill, and cleaning it up are pathetic. The tools are antiquated, and not being used properly.  If you want to blame this on President Obama, the deregulation of Bush/Cheney, BP Oil, bureaucracy, whatever. What is clear is, somebody needs to take control.  That's why I'm glad that The Rachel Maddow Show won't let go of this issue.  Her reporting from the Gulf, and her analysis of the issues could be a part of finally getting some action.
