Happy Monday! It's March!

Lousy Smarch weather (you have to be a The Simpsons fan to get that). Here I am again on a Monday, struggling to find something interesting to start the week. Should it be political? Boring! (The Simpsons, again). Something personal? Been there, done that, they were out of t-shirts.

How 'bout something funny? Well, I plumbed the depths of Saturday Night Live from this weekend--and there were certainly depths to be had--but nothing inspired me. So how 'bout this?

I'm glad that a lot more people have been frequenting the blog of late. It's been pretty cool to see the numbers double than triple. Oh, it's still a low number, but a little heady for me. But man, I'm having trouble finding anything that interests me today. I'll keep looking, and hopefully I'll find a choice nugget or two tonight. For now, enjoy this bit of frivolity.

Picture of the Day: Burnout FAIL

I'm a big fan of cars in general, and even in tricked-out paint jobs and modifications if they're done correctly. But one of the stupidest fads of the last decade or so (except maybe Civics with spoilers bolted on) has to be ultra-lowered pickup trucks. The trend seems to be over, mercifully. But you still see these things skittering down the road, their drivers scared of the tiniest speed bumps. And as you can see by this picture, there are certain things these lowered trucks can't quite deal with. . .

Frivolity Break: Sidewalk Fail

Well, I'm winding up my first month of my third year blogging, and I've got to say, interest in this blog has plummeted to the realm of irrelevance. Not that I ever had a huge audience, mind you. But, sumbitch, where did everybody go?

Still, I must forge ahead. And my usual ramblings of pop culture and current political doings are surely not garnering a huge following. So, what can I do to grab some eyeballs? Everybody covered Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, so that won't do it. Gov. Sanford? What more can be said?

Well, I couldn't find anything scintillating or newsworthy. But I did find something funny over at FailBlog.org! So, enjoy the funny. Assuming that you're reading this. . .

Back to Ohio, Day Two

Day two, and part of it will likely be spent recovering from an all-night bull session (case of beer, mandatory).

Once my 42-year-old body has repaired itself, I hope to spend some time with the fam, and don't have much planned beyond that. Since I turn 43 in eight days, maybe I can score a surprise party, or at least some presents!

In the mean time, hopefully Stupid Monkey Planet will have some time to entertain you, and I'll try to pop in if I can. Until then, please enjoy this moment of frivolity. . .

Back to Ohio, Day One

Today, on my first day back to Ohio, I'll probably be napping, resting up from my redeye flight from Las Vegas. After that, there are really no plans until tonight, where I hope to be having a pizza and beer-filled bull session with my sister and her husband. It's kind of a tradition.

It will be the first time since the election that we don't have an opposition party to bitch about. But I'm sure we'll find something to dish.

I'll try to get a post or two up between now and then. But if I don't, please look for Stupid Monkey Planet to show up (provided he has the time). And I'll try to pop in if I can. Until then, enjoy this moment of frivolity. . .

This clip from The Nancy Grace Show is obviously old, since they're talking about the "Duke Rape" case thing that turned out to be a bust. But it's a classic fail, and while I can't stand NG, it's fun to watch her get torqued off on camera.

New Year's Greetings from Greenlee Gazette & I Can Has Cheez Burger?

Well, I suppose I should really put up one more post today, to prove the blog is still alive. My day has been relatively relaxed, but I couldn't find much to write about earlier in the day. Most likely, if you're reading this, you're having difficulty finding interesting things too! But before I head off to my traditional New Year's Day dinner at Mr. & Mrs. Lesto's, one more post.

And this one is pretty good, too. Or rather, it's entertaining. It's from I Can Has Cheez Burger?, the goofy, English-destroying site that can suck hours out of your day, if you're not careful. I've lamented its effect on the language in the past, but cannot deny that the site can crack me up, and have me giggling like an idiot (similar to FailBlog or Engrish). You ever get in a Wiki hole? That's when you look something up on Wikipedia, and then realize (after looking up tangent after tangent) that it's hours later? There are IMDB holes too, and I'm sure many have been stuck in YouTube (or, heh, PornTube) holes. Ahem.

Well, I'm stuck in a FailBlog.org hole, after having visited earlier in the evening. I'm giggling like a little kid hearing their grandfather having a gas attack. And when I hit this video, I too busted a gut. To you, it may not be as funny. But go there, browse around a little. . .you'll find your inner immaturity too.
