Blast from the Past: Forgotten 80s

After a slow couple of days, I unleashed a torrent of political blog posts, and it's now long past time to get to something fun. Here is a batch of 80s music videos. But not just any 80s videos.

See, even with a bunch of 80s radio stations, and "Big 80s" and "I Love the 80s" specials, there are some things that just get left out. These are the 80s songs that don't land on very many compilations. They were huge at the time, but get very little love today. I'm a little hampered by what YouTube has to offer (I could not find Another Holiday by The Other Ones, for example), but we'll see what I can find. . .

#1 - Baby Love by Regina - This is a Madonna soundalike who had one big hit. But since everyone thought it was Madonna, she never mustered another hit. Too bad.

#2 - Do You Wanna Touch (Oh Yeah) by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts - Sure, you get to hear I Love Rock and Roll, but when's the last time you heard this one?

#3 - Touch Me (I Want Your Body) by Samantha Fox - The second (allegedly!) lesbian former 80s pop star in this list had a string of naughty songs in the 80s. When do you ever hear them anymore?

#4 - Lights Out by Peter Wolf - He was hot as the lead singer of J. Geils Band, but after he went solo, he had a couple of hits, and then faded away. But this one was good!
