GOP Attacks MoveOn.org Ad: General Betray Us

OK folks, I really don't see what all the fuss is about. I don't see anything in the ad that strikes me as particularly wrong or misleading. I do see how the GOP wouldn't like the "Betray Us" play on words, but I think that is just mock outrage.

No, what they're really torqued about is that this ad spells out why the "Petraeus Report" is at least partially bogus. Don't believe me? Go there and read it: MoveOn.org ad.

Repbulicans big-wigs and political pundits credit MoveOn with far more power than I believe they actually have. Speaking from personal experience, MoveOn.org is pretty low on my list of daily clicks. In fact, my visit there for this post was probably only my third or fourth visit ever. I kind of view them as a modern-day ACT-UP. An in-your-face, "you're not going to ignore us" group. They make a lot of noise, and they do get some results.

People like Bill O'Reilly seem to think they are pulling the strings of the entire Democratic Party, and uses them as a bogey-man. They (along with George Soros) are allegedly behind every effort to "smear" and "slime" the GOP, and the Bush Administration. I frankly don't think they need a big organization to do that. It's like shooting fish in a barrel these days.
