Well, the Valerie Plame/Joseph Wilson story is back, as Valerie Plame is to be interviewed on 60 Minutes tonight. This is one of those stories that baffles me, when it gets boiled down to its left-right "takes" on the issue. The right's view of the story becomes as strained and ridiculous as any tinfoil hat conspiracy theory.
And just like a 9/11-truther on a mission to disrupt a talk show, the Freepers will hold to their views that Joe Wilson was some sort of traitor, and that Valerie Plame was a paper-pusher at the CIA (and even if she was a covert agent, simply everyone in DC knew about it. . .huh?).
This article is interesting, as it shows that RawStory.com (a favorite source of mine) covered 60 Minutes' ground a year ago. Yeah, we bloggers can be ahead of the mainstream media like that. . . Heh heh.

CBS News has confirmed, in advance of a 60 Minutes interview with outed CIA agent Valerie Plame to be run this Sunday, that Plame "was involved in operations to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons."
"Our mission was to make sure that the bad guys, basically, did not get nuclear weapons," Plame told 60 Minutes. Plame also indicated that her outing in 2003 had caused grave damage to CIA operations, saying, "All the intelligence services in the world were running my name through their databases" to see where she had gone and who she had met with. . .
