Leonard Nimoy Retires from Star Trek Conventions

I honestly can't recall if I've seen Leonard Nimoy in person or not. Back in the early nineties, I attended a few of them, but that was the heyday of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, so the original stars were just icing on the cake, if they showed up. I remember seeing Majel Barrett-Roddenberry (Nurse Chapel, Lwaxana Troi), James Doohan (Scotty), Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura) and George Takai. But Nimoy or even Shatner? I really don't remember.

So, it's kind of sad that Leonard Nimoy is done with that sort of thing. Of course, he retired from acting too, then showed up on this year's Emmy Awards, so who knows? If he's still doing okay at 85, maybe he'll show up for a 50th anniversary of Star Trek.
