The common word being used to describe John McCain and his campaign these days, is "erratic." I even heard someone say on MSNBC today that "erratic" was code for "old." Maybe it is, but it is also an apt description of the campaign right now.
You've got the Sarah Palin out on the stump, working hard-core supporters into a frothing lather, and you've got McCain trying to calm them down again. It's produced a stunning dichotomy in their message. Take a look at this video from The Jed Report (found at AmericaBlog). It juxtaposes McCain's current advertising campaign against what McCain is saying on the stump.
