Alan Colmes Calls Ann Coulter a "Hate Crime"

As a clue to how strange the FOX "News" program Hannity & Colmes is, arch-right-wing pundit Ann Coulter was called "a hate crime"--jokingly--by "liberal" co-host Alan Colmes. And she took it as a compliment. First, it's strange that hate crimes are comedy fodder, strange that Colmes--who is leaving the show in January--called her that, jokingly or not, and strange that Coulter takes pride in her abrasiveness.

But not strange at all for FOX "News" in general, I suppose. But I do think that Colmes is leaving at just the right time. Being Sean Hannity's foil in a democratic political atmosphere could be absolutely no fun for Colmes, who endured it during an uber-conservative period. I'm hoping before he leaves, he gets in some zingers that stick.
