George W. Bush: How He Aged in Office

President Bush has often said that he sleeps well at night, that's he's proud of his Presidency, and didn't let the job get him down. Despite the peculiarity of not letting so many mistakes and failures bother him, you can on one hand believe it. We've all seen him dancing, and goofing around, looking like he doesn't have a care in the world (or a thought in his head).

But on the other hand, there is no doubt that this man has aged dramatically while in office. Now, almost every time a president leaves office, there are stories about how badly the one in question has aged. Carter, Reagan, Clinton; all looked like more time had passed on their faces then on the calendar. And I know I'm not the first--and won't be the last--to comment on this regarding Gee Dubya. But, man that guy looks 20--not eight--years older now. So why does Dick Cheney still look the same?

  1. There can be no greater stress than finding yourself in a job you are not qualified for where people actually expect you to do something...for the first time in his life.

  2. Good point. And I think you're right. I don't believe he has much personal strife for his mistakes and failures. But walking out and faking competance everyday would be a stressor.
