Now, on to the subject of this post. Proposition 8 in California revoked the existing right for same-sex couples to marry. Much of the money that went toward the "Yes" side of the fight came from Mormons and Catholics. It has been alleged that the churches themselves dictated or at least urged their congregants to donate. But the Mormon church claimed to have given a very small amount themselves. But it looks like they weren't telling the truth. . .
