It's become standard operating procedure with Mitt Romney's ads, and it hasn't abated with the addition of Paul Ryan to the ticket: whatever the ad is saying, it's probably not true. This time, it's the allegation that President Obama "gutted" Medicare to fund "Obamacare." But that's not really what happened. I know that "scare the olds" is a time-honored tradition on both sides in politics, but is Romney ever going to latch onto a campaign theme that isn't bogus?
