She's baaack!
Egads. While this action is being hailed in some quarters, it gives me pause. The PUMAs have been steadfastly holding on to the fact that Hillary Clinton has not discharged her delegates, and only "suspended" her campaign. They've been hoping, even conspiring, to have Clinton sweep in and take the nomination away from Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention.
The seemingly unanimously believe that Hillary Clinton would mop the floor with John McCain. But their ambition to have their candidate in play has blinded them to reality. If two weeks from now, Clinton somehow prevailed, all work done so far in the Democratic general election campaign would have been for naught. She'd have to start over, with a Democratic electorate thrown into disarray. I don't know what amount of Clinton's "18 million voters" are still clamoring for her nomination, but I think any reasonable person could figure that more of Obama's 18 million would be seriously pissed off.
Hopefully, Clinton is aware of this, and does not try to grab this particular brass ring.
