Connecticut to Allow Same-sex Marriages Tomorrow

The anti-gay propositions to stop same-sex marriages in Florida, Arizona and California all passed on election day, as has been covered here exhaustively over the last week. But it would seem that when you plug up civil rights somewhere in the country, they just come bursting forth somewhere else. So a big, hearty Nelson Muntz ha-ha! to the "Yes on Proposition 8" folks in California. And congratulations to the couples in Connecticut (and to those willing to make the trip)!

. . .Superior Court Judge Jonathan Silbert has scheduled a hearing at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in New Haven to enter the final judgment in the case that allows same-sex marriages in Connecticut. Once completed, couples can pick up marriage license forms at town and city clerk's offices. . .
